Lior spent his entire career at the intersection of investments, entrepreneurship, and frontier technologies. Before Eden Block, Lior scaled companies and led investments at Messika Holdings, as CEO of the group. At Eden Block, Lior works with the investment team & portfolio founders to solve problems, and refine the firm's investment theses. In his work, Lior is passionate about web3 infrastructure and decentralized value systems. Lior is an active contributor to a number of decentralized organizations, and is the Founder of the Mutant Cartel, one of the fastest-growing communities in the BAYC universe. Outside of Eden Block, Lior is an active philanthropist and co-founder of the Seadragon Foundation, a social enterprise dedicated to environmental conservation and social impact. Lior has been recognized by Forbes Europe's 30 under 30 list of 2021 for his work as an investor and entrepreneur.
Rami served as Managing Partner at Pitango Venture Capital the largest venture capital fund in Israel (1996-2018) with $2.4B AUM 57M&As and 25 IPOs. In Pitango Rami was focused on early stage deep tech Web 2 investments, is personally signed on 15 exits and set on the board of numerous startups including Anobit (acquired by Apple), Leaba (acquired by Cisco), Dune (acquired by Marvel), Gteko (acquired by Microsoft), Convergin (acquired by oracle), dbMotion (acquired by Allscript) and Neebula (acquired by Service Now) among others.
Rami brings his deep experience and knowledge in building a startup roadmap from 1st money in all the way to an exit in the Web 2 infrastructure play, from vision, product and team building, through go-to-market and business model strategies, all the way to exit and M&A negotiations.
Rami was also the founder and chairman of Sosa TLV, which creates links between cities and global players, and Israeli start-ups.
Before joining Pitango, Rami was an Attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris and Jacobson (NY), 1992 - 1995 - a leading Wall Street law firm where focused on restructuring and securities/Rami holds three degrees: LLB, Tel Aviv university; LLM - Fordham University, NY; MBA - INSEAD University, France
Orit Freedman Weissman is a global investment banker and investor. She was a partner at Goldman Sachs where she served for over 20 years in Investment Banking in New York. She specialized in M&A transactions, financings and investments in private companies. She was founder and regional CEO for Goldman Sachs Israel and also served on the firm’s International Board of Advisors. Orit is a co-founder of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences in Tel Aviv. In recent years, she has been an investor in web3 through funds and direct investments. Orit is a graduate of Tel Aviv University Law School and earned an MBA at New York University's Stern School of Business.
For 20 years, Yoann has been managing various multi-assets investment vehicles, including at hedge fund EnTrustPermal, investment bank Natixis’s trading unit and holding company Temple Stone. He has also contributed to the UN’s international trade missions through business and financial consulting roles. At Eden Block, Yoann is responsible for all cross-functional aspects of the company’s operations, finances, legal and portfolio management. Yoann has also been an angel investor with a core focus in impact, most specifically sustainable urban development, waste management and health.
Having spent his career focused on investment research, for the past five years Nelson has focused exclusively on the crypto markets. At The Reserve Ventures he worked closely with crypto founders and at Livepeer Grants lead public goods funding for the Livepeer Network. Nelson leads Eden's investment team on deal flow, due diligence, and market research to shape the firms investment theses and drive investment decisions. Outside of Eden Block, Nelson is a director at the Pocket Network Foundation, focusing on core protocol funding, while ensuring the Pocket Network remains an open credibly neutral platform for developers.
Writing his first program at five years old, he's never ceased to nurture his passion and love for tech and programming. Starting as a software developer, his entrepreneurial nature led him to co-found several startups, building a large part of the product whilst leading teams. His journey with blockchain started in 2017 by building an Ethereum analytics platform which fed an appetite for infosec that he'd held from a young age. His hacker mindset benefited the new career turn of conducting security audits with ConsenSys Diligence. Allowing him to do research in the security space and present findings at conferences around the world. At Eden Block, he is responsible for understanding the business's technical parts and providing support to the portfolio. He still loves to code and often contributes to open-source projects, advises companies, analyses exploits and vulnerabilities, and writes about all of this on Twitter.
Sergey has investment experience in early-stage traditional Venture Capital funds and Family Offices, with investment focus of crypto, fintech and SaaS.
At Eden Block he supports funds operations, investment process through work on deal flow & conducting due diligence, simultaneously supporting the fundraising efforts of the fund.
Sergey holds a BSc from University College London and an MSc from London Business School.
Ian Plunkett is a Venture Partner at Eden Block, advising portfolio companies and the fund on communications, brand strategy, culture, and values. He is also Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Alder, where he leads communications, brand strategy, and marketing operations.
Ian built and scaled Twitter’s Policy Communications team around the world from 2015-2021, overseeing engagement with the company’s leadership team and CEO on issues such as ESG, data protection and privacy, countering violent extremism, content moderation, and election interference. His writing has been featured in the New York Times, Financial Times, Bloomberg, Washington Post, Times of India, Sunday Times, and more.
After his tenure at Twitter, Ian joined Coinbase as the first Director of Global Policy Communications where he advised the company’s CEO and C-suite team on policy and communications issues, including the first regulatory position paper published by the firm.
He is also a former UNAOC Fellow, UK Young Leaders Fellow, and a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship.
He holds a B.A. in International Relations from Dublin City University and an M.Sc. in Political Science & Communications from the London School of Economics.
Ollie is a partner at RW Blears and was previously at Allen & Overy and Bridgepoint. He has a number of years experience working with a range of market participants building and investing in web 3.0 infrastructure. Ollie advises Eden Block on legal and regulatory matters across the fund and its portfolio.
